TIME TRAVEL

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 8; the eighth edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton.

I felt the pain in my head, a very severe headache. I tried to open my eyes, but there was a bright light coming straight into my eyes. It was all blurred. Before I could even visualize anything clearly, I got hit by a bamboo cane, and then there was another blow. I shouted in pain but the assault didn't stop, I got thrashed again and again. Sometimes, I could feel more than one blow at a time. Yes, I realized they were all after me. I shouted but it didn't stop instead it followed with the big black leather boots coming from all directions, hitting me hard everywhere on my body where ever they could find space. I could feel the throttle in my breath as I tried to hide my face against the earth. The mud was all over me, I could feel the heat both from the surface of the earth and from every single portion of my body. I could feel my whole body totally wet, but it was hard to distinguish between the blood and the sweat.

Suddenly, I heard a bold manly voice abusing me. The blurry image started becoming clearer and I could still not hear anything properly, but finally I could see one of them. He was dressed in a red and white bright colored military uniform, a white leather belt around his waist, a row of lustrous medallions starting from both ends of his chest towards the center, a black colored hat on his head, and the shoulder batches shinning in the bright sun with 'East India Company' embedded over them. He was white, tall with broad athletic body like a gigantic hulk. There were two others with him similarly dressed but of lower rung with lesser medallions on their uniforms. They were all at me, hitting me, abusing me and simultaneously repeating one thing- "You bloody farmer, how dare you don't pay us the tax!!"

I could barely move my body to run away from them. I had already lost all my energy to react or to say anything, only my eyes were witnessing the assault on my half numb body. Suddenly, I heard the outbreak of few distant voices approaching towards us with the slogan of-"East India Company, Murdabad, Murdabad; Hindustan Zindabad, Hindustan Zindabad !!". The assault came to the halt. The voices became even louder, though I could hardly see with my injured eyes yet it was evident that it was a group of 5-6 people. My eyes started shutting down, I could hardly see whats happening, but I can hear the huge cries. I could feel while lying on the ground that both the groups were fighting with each other. Abruptly, I heard gun shots, one after the other, six in a row. I could hear those last cries and then there was a complete moment of mourn.

I tried to open my eyes and saw a pistol heading towards me. I got scared and I started saying my prayers. The pistol was placed at the center of my forehead and I heard an English voice- "Kill him!!". I could feel the sound of the pistol's trigger in its process of being pressed, but suddenly I heard a voice and felt being shaken by someone. I said- What? She replied-"Why cannot you sleep nice and quiet? Its too late, we have to go office tomorrow". I realized it was a dream but felt nice that my wife saved my life. I smiled, kissed my wife and slept again.

COMING BACK TO LIFE

Somebody said- "Life comes in parts and parcels"; yes, it certainly does. Everyday cannot be the same, everyday cannot be our day and everyday we cannot be happy. It happens with all of us, we all live a life, which is a never ending vicious circle consisting of happiness and of sadness one after the other, but the catch is- it's uncontrollable!!

What we want may not happen at the time when we want it the most, what we wish may not fulfill at the time when we want it to come true, and there might be complete uninvited devastation happen in our life at the time when everything is fine, but shall we become angry to life on this and start living life in depression? When we are in a negative frame of mind it feels like a doomsday, it feels if the world has reached to apocalypse. We almost visualize the Armageddon in which the evil has defeated all the good things of our lives. Our heart fills with sorrowful thoughts with no hope of happiness coming back to life. This is the real time, which draws the bifurcation between a warrior and a chickenhearted. I don't say that all those who try to fightback but not succeed are chickenhearted but it's the others who lose the courage and the hope to fightback, and accepts to live with what is happening. The fire to fightback is important to be what we want to be but it is easier said then done. Even the most powerful of soul fumbles in its road to coming back to life. Yet, the one who ignores the pain, the failure and the agony, makes an impact.

IGNORANCE, yes that is what we need to show the monstrous things happening in our lives and we need to keep telling ourselves that- "It might have stopped everything in my life at this very moment of time, but I m going to plan and live the life the way I want it". Just remember when your parents at home and teachers at class used to say-"Pay Attention To Me", and you just wanted to ignore that thing, this is your time where you have to follow that very childish feeling, the big royal ignore to all the wrong things happening in life. Persist with what you want in your life, insist yourself to keep trying again and again, and assist your soul to your utmost important goal of life.

Slowly and steadily you will scale the new heights on the mountain of difficulties and soon you will realize that you are back in the plains again. Yes, you have crossed all the difficulties and the train of your life is back on the right track heading towards the correct destination of life, and this is when its coming back to life......

DEDICATED TO F.R.I.E.N.D.S

If someone asks me about what I miss from the older days of my life then my answer will be very straight forward- "the very special people of my life- F.R.I.E.N.D.S". It's not that I have completely broken off with my good old friends but of course, the quality of time spent with them never seem to be coming back again and I miss it badly. I realized when we are in school we make friends and we spend almost the complete day with our friends. Those moments get over as soon as the schooling comes to an end. Soon, we start understanding the world, the people and the environment.

While we are in school, we make friends with each and everyone, but with no understanding other than that my friends play with me everyday. As soon as we enter the university, we start recognizing our friends in categories- something like Best friends, friends but not best friends and hello-hi friends. This subdivision mainly evolves with the kind of relationship we share with our friends and the time spent together. The bond of friendship probably flourishes the most while we are in college. In my opinion i.e. the age where we find the maximum number of friends to carry with us for whole life. Even I had such kind of various sets of friends but I have felt that there were various significant moments of life spent with all of them despite all the subdivisions. There are thousands of memories that comes to the mind with small small things we experience or see in our daily lives.

Its very often when we hear the name of our alma mater and all those friends start flashing in front of our eyes. Sometimes, an old movie coming on the television creates the deja vu from the past while we watched that movie in past with our friends. Then there are some songs, they always bring back the good old memories back. Like that there are so many different things that always pull us back in the memory lane and every now and then we remember our friends. One thing I have to say its not about the places or the things but its about the people, the very special friends who are part of our memories.

I have also realized the bitter truth of life that there is no certainty that we get a chance to spend the quality of time, which we spent together in the past. As we all grow, the work or the job takes us to different places, its not that we lose contact to our friends or we lose our best friends but we compromise on the purest relationship of friendship for career and the other comforts of life. Also, this is true that while we achieve something significant in career and life or we suffer tragedy, we always miss our best friends both for their support and for sharing the joyous moments of life. Such is the importance of friends in life.

On a personal note, while I listen the song- Rubaroo from the movie Rang De Basanti reminds me of all my friends. So, whenever you hear this song just think for a second that I remember you all :).

May You All Have The Best of Life & Long Live the F.R.I.E.N.D.S.H.I.P!!!

ECLIPSE

Eclipse, we hear this word
And a picture of Sun and Moon appears.
The black ring, blocking all the light.
The sudden darkness, a visible shadow.
The only moment of Earth deprived of all the light,
Scary, yet mesmerizing.

Mesmerizing of its beauty,
The visible relative motion’s of the celestial bodies.
The dark ring covers the light first,
And then goes out of the way again.
The light flashes back.
Like the Earth coming back to life again.

Life has the same eclipses,
Sometimes deprived of Happiness,
Sometimes deprived of Success,
Sometimes deprived of Motivation.
Those are the scary moments of Life.

Like the eclipse, all scare ends.
The light comes back.
The light enlightens the life.
Success, Happiness and Motivation,
All comes back.

Remember, Eclipse ends.
Experience it bravely,
Persist it strongly and live it courageously.
You will come out shinning,
Like the light, a WINNER !!

MY NAME IS KHAN- GIMMICK KHAN

Finally, after a lot of hype and political drama “My Name Is Khan” released on Friday. The movie had become the cynosure of current battle taking place between the Shiv Sena and the Congress government. Shiv Sena has been continuously protesting against Shah Rukh Khan since the day he criticized the IPL franchisees for not buying any Pakistani Cricketer in the auction. On the other hand, Congress has taken the same opportunity to empower its stand politically by blazing all guns against the Shiv Sainiks by supporting Mr.Khan. As a result, Rahul Gandhi, the future congress prime-ministerial candidate, had a visit to Mumbai with slogans of “Mumbai for All” and “We support SRK” to his name. Moreover, SRK was given police protection and the movie was released under a strict security provisions of the police on the D-day. But the surprise came when Mr.Khan decided to attend the premier of his film in Dubai instead of Mumbai. On one hand, SRK was able to get all the support from Congress government and Police for the release of his film, but on the other, he decided to remain outside of the Mumbai city away from his courageous fans who managed to come to the cinemas despite the strong agitations and the security threats to support him.

Shiv Sena might be ethically wrong in protesting against Mr.Khan for his so called Anti-Indian stance but Mr. Shah Rukh Khan is also not innocent et al. The point is Mr.Khan himself is the co-owner of the IPL franchisee and just by giving a miss to the event auction doesn’t really evade him from his own comments. Why Mr.Khan or his co-owners did not buy any Pakistani Cricketer for their IPL team? Why Mr.Khan missed the IPL Auction? Why would Mr.Khan criticize other IPL franchisees when his own franchisee did not buy any Pakistani player?
Ok, let’s try to connect the dots here.

SRK is seriously waiting for a hit movie for long time now. It’s been almost a couple of years since Mr.Khan had any big hit. His market value and brand value was on a decline during these couple of years and the uglier face of tinsel town was pretty much visible when his so called close friends like Farah Khan started parting ways from him. As a result, it became utmost essential this time to turn the grass into gold with the release of “My Name Is Khan”. SRK understood the importance of this movie for his career and planned it accordingly. He decided not to leave even a single stone unturned this time. Hence, he decided to miss the IPL auction so that he can call the shot on all the IPL franchisees after the auction regarding the exclusion of Pakistani cricketers. The picture for Pakistani players was already gloomy because of the tensions between the India and the Pakistan, and practically there wasn’t any business sense for picking up the Pakistani cricketers for such a large amount because of the uncertainty of their presence for the complete IPL season.

As soon as, the IPL auction was over and the expected happened, SRK saw this as big opportunity to get into the news just before the release of his new movie- My Name Is Khan. Though, he might not have thought that he will be caught by Shiv Sena on the wrong foot but that situation itself turned into a blessing in disguise for him. He became the national subject, “the King Khan of Controversies was all over in news again”, but he got all the very important attention everywhere, thanks to tiff between the Congress and the Shiv Sena that he remained in news for good half a month before the release of his so very important release. Now the release day came and Mr.Khan decided to fly away to Dubai for the premier of his movie instead of giving any further air to the fire of rebellion lit by Shiv Sena. Why would Mr.Khan want more controversy now? After all his purpose was served, the movie already got the perfect hype and marketing, there was no requirement of any such stunts anymore but to play it safe now. So, he fled away to Dubai.

Wow, such are the great gimmicks we have in our country. These people can do hundreds of advertisements of products of common man but cannot even use a single one at their homes. Hippocrates and self centered great gimmicks of India.

P.S. I’m sorry if you are a SRK fan but your counter views are invited. I saw “MY NAME IS KHAN” I loved the movie and the message it had, nothing against SRK’s acting skills, he is a great actor but why such publicity stunts?
