WHEN I GET OLDER I WILL BE STRONGER

The FIFA 2010 just got over and “Spain” is the new crowned world champions, my hearty congratulations to the Spanish team, but the charisma of the game is such that the hangover is still ON. The event was such a massive attraction for the Soccer fans across the globe, but outside the game too there were so many things associated to the FIFA 2010 world cup that caught everyone’s attention and one of them was the music. There were couple of very popular famous music numbers created as the official songs for the FIFA 2010 world cup namely- “Waka Waka” courtesy Shakira and “Wavin’ the Flag” by K’naan, but the song that really caught up with my mood was-“Wavin’ the Flag” by K’naan. For me this song was simply amazing, the lyrics were wonderful and the song went so well with the mood of celebration of the game. Certainly, “Wavin’ the Flag” is at vantage for me.

After doing a research about the song and its lyrics, I found that K’naan actually first wrote a poem about his childhood experiences in Somalia and while he was performing the poem at the UN High Commission for refugees as part of the social activity Youssour N’Dor saw K’naan and decided to call him to Senegal for the recording of the song. Later, the song became so popular that it became the official celebration mix for Coco-Cola and one of the FIFA 2010 world cup’s celebration anthem. Still for me the real winner is the lyrics of the song- “When I get older I will be stronger, They’ll call me freedom, just like a wavin’ flag”, these are surely bold and self affirmative lines that can motivate anyone in any situation. My best part of the song is-

Out of the darkness, I came the farthest.
Among the hardest survival.
Learn from these streets, it can be bleak,
Accept no defeat, surrender, retreat.

Wow, for those wonderful lines. The message is loud and clear- Don’t give up and keep going, you will come out stronger and the victory will be yours. Isn’t it the perfect message?? A perfect music for thought and a perfect catalyst to kick start your mission impossible. A big thumps up to K’naan for this very special song. I found this song really motivating and inspiring, do share what you think about it??

DESTINY

You think to have it,
You wish to get it,
But it doesn’t happen.
You feel dejected,
You ask- Why me?

You hold yourself, you fight-back,
You forget & you move on.
An opportunity knocks the door,
Again you feel for it,
You think you are the best fit to have it,
You try, you still don’t get it.

You are clueless, you are hopeless,
You are in complete turmoil.
But again, there is an opportunity.
Your feelings are neutral now,
You are not sure about it,
Yet, you still try for it.

This time it turned to gold,
You have got it.
You discovered it’s the perfect thing to happen,
You thank for not getting the earlier ones.
You feel blessed; you feel this is what meant for you.

You sit-back, and think about the past.
You feel as if everything was designed as such.
You think of it, and you say it in joy-
It’s Destiny !!!

P.S. If you are not getting success, it doesn’t always mean you didn’t do well. You don’t need to lose the hope; you have to still keep trying. Keep trying until you reach where you want to be. You don’t know when it will be your day, but when the day will come you will realize that it’s the best what can happen to you. You will be thankful to all your past failures and you will be glad that you didn’t make it otherwise you might not have ever got to what you have received now. There is a best well suited thing for you somewhere and it will come to you some how, so just keep trying, rest the destiny will take care

UNDERSTANDING THE REAL COMMITMENT

Ralph Marston is an author and a publisher of The Daily Motivator, one of the Internet's most popular and classy destinations for original positive motivation and inspiration. Since 1996, Ralph has published a new, original, positive message everyday without missing a single publication day, but one day when he was upset with his own commitment level, he wrote a small note about Commitment. Supposedly, he used to read that note daily to keep his focus towards what he called as the "real commitment".

Ralph is an amazing author, and his words of wisdom have been quoted many a times on thousands of websites, in e-books, magazines, newspapers and publications. From the treasure of his very own secret motivational notes, I would want to share this special note he wrote about commitment. I would suggest you to read each and every line of this short note with deep intent to co-relate with yourself, imagine your goals with laser focus commitment, and implement what Ralph mentioned about commitment after developing a deep understanding of it.
So, here it is-

True commitment is serious and it is powerful.  Commitment is not just saying you'll do it. Commitment is doing it. True Commitment is not conditional, for to be committed means to be absolutely committed.
Commitment is more than doing just what is convenient or comfortable. Commitment is doing what is necessary. Commitment is making the sacrifices and the tradeoffs that are required to uphold it.  Commitment is more than just wishing for the right conditions. Commitment is working with what you have.

Commitment is not easy. Commitment does not back down or run away at the first sign of trouble. Commitment perseveres until the goal is reached. Commitment does not waste time and effort whining or complaining or seeking to find blame. Commitment adjusts to reality and moves forward. Too many people have been deceived for too long, and have come to expect that they can know fulfillment without the gritty effort of commitment. They are sadly mistaken. Real, solid commitment is real work. And well worth it.
The evidence is overwhelming -- it gets results like nothing else can.
 --Ralph Marston

I’m glad that I found this very special note and I shared with you all to spread this very special meaning of the real commitment, and finally I would convey my special thanks to Ralph for this very special note. Thank You Ralph :).

UNSTOPPABLE

I tried, I failed
I again tried, I again failed.
I felt defeated, I felt disgusted.
But I didn't stop.

Yet, the melancholy trapped me.
I suffered a severe breakdown.
It was difficult to move on.
Still, I didn't stop.

Then came an opportunity,
I thought I'll get it this time,
But the stroke of luck didn't help me,
The failure again kissed me.

Destroyed, more than ever before.
Grumpy and off colored,
I did not know what to do.
Then I decided, I still wont stop.

Let the failure hit me again,
I had decided, I wont stop.
I will fight against it,
Be it go long.
Still, I will go on.

There will be a winner,
Not the one who will defeat the other,
But the one who stays in the end, till other surrenders.
I said to myself, I'll go on.
No matter what it takes,
I will go on & I will keep going on !!

P.S. Just don't think that its only you who is suffering because of luck or failure, there are so many of them, but what is more important is who doesn't give up and keep going till the goal is achieved. Don't panic if the people around you are getting success and you are kind of left behind, keep patience and keep trying what you really want. It might take a little longer to achieve what you want but when you will get it that will be the most prized possession for you and then you will sit back, and feel that without those failures you might not have got the best thing what you have got now. So, just don't feel the jitters but keep moving on. Don't Stop, but keep going on.

SADNESS

Along with the mind, creator gifted the heart.
Along with the heart, came emotions.
Different are emotions,
Few are joyous and others sad.

Yet the pitiful soul,
Dismal of all,
Distressing and lamentable suffers,
That is the state of sadness.

Sadness is regretful,
Sadness is woeful, its pathetic.
The heart feels wretched.
The soul feels blue, its painful.

Mind becomes uncontrollable,
Only thoughts afloat are reprehensible.
Heart becomes heavy,
Eyes become wet.

That is the harsh moment of reality.
The moment from where you should change.
The time you should take off.
The time you should take few decisions.

Yes, sadness is what causes the change.
Be real, accept the reality.
Evaluate yourself, and be the change.
Soon the happiness will follow....

GLORY

The instance when you felt the joy,
The moment when you felt like the supremo,
The time when you felt you have achieved it,
That is the true moment of Glory!!

The essence of glory is magnificent,
Everyone follows it like a salacious monk,
Glory is like a blanket on vilification,
Its like a makeover to the unsuccessful life.

Only an optimist can chase the Glory.
Only an optimist can squander like a peripatetic in search of  the Glory.
Sloth is it's enemy and patience is it's fan.
Determination is it's secret and hard work is it's magical wand.

Glory is an opus, it's creator is self.
You believe it, you do it.
What you need is a courage,
If you have it, if you will make it,
The splendor is yours, the Glory is yours,
Go and Get it, it's all Yours!!

WHO IS REALLY INSPIRING?

I have this amazing widget on my blog, which keeps on flashing motivational quotes randomly and today it has something really interesting that triggered me to think about it. Well it says- “If what you're working for really matters, you'll give it all you've got” by Nido Qubein.

Nido Qubein is a motivational speaker and president of High Point University, an accredited undergraduate and graduate institution. What is more interesting about Mr.Qubein is the fact that he had been ranked 6th among the most motivational speaker world wide in 2008. He is chairman of the Great Harvest Bread Company. He is an active speaker and consultant addressing more than 100 business and professional groups around the world each year. His books and learning programs have been translated into three dozen languages and are sold across the globe.

You know what I think on knowing so much about Mr.Qubein that he is one really inspiring soul on this earth. Yet I still not convinced with his quote mentioned above. I understand this clearly that its very logical and basic for someone to give one’s best shot at something, which really interests him but this is a very simple thought or let me just say that it’s a very common aspect of one’s personality. It’s like when I like something and it really matters to me, I m going to give my best shot, this is kind of obvious isn’t it? With due respect to Mr.Qubein and with no offense to his opinion instead, I feel this is not at all motivating, probably if that quote, would have given me an advice or mantra through which I could have realized a thing that really matters to me in life would have been worth. I think, we all in our lives want to achieve what really matter but most of us throughout our lives are never clear about it so we keep on trying different things at all times by actually copying the people who have done well rather than doing what would really matter to us. It’s a proven fact that people who are clear about what they want are the one who are successful in their lives. The reason is very simple as they know what exactly they want and in which direction they have to apply themselves, with full force to achieve what they exactly want. So, what I m trying to say is it’s not about if I m doing a thing that really matters to me and I m giving my best in it but it’s about how I realize what thing really matters to me because once I know that it’s almost definite that I m going to give my all to it.

Au contraire, I have another observation, which I would want to share here. There are people with such a character who have a tendency of giving their best at whatever they do. Moreover, they do it despite their intention if it really matters to them but it’s more of their rare pure character. These are actually the people who are true winners because not only they feel satisfied with themselves as they do all the things with full passion but also do it with all they have. Beyond that it really doesn’t matter to them even if it doesn’t reap them any use. For instance, I know a person who works for a MNC. I know that this guy has not received any good hikes for last 2 years or so but yet his passion for his work and zealot at work is commendable. He himself knows that there is no use of working so hard but still he do it for himself. He says that’s his nature or character he feels satisfied in life only after performing something not by cheating himself. Now this is a truly inspiring character because if one knows what really matters to him in life, he would surely going to give his all but here is somebody who is not sure what matters to him and yet giving his all.
