Fill your heart with love

Observe positivity around you

Reject hatred and selfishness

Give yourself a chance to help others

Invent happiness and spread it

Vivaciously carry life

Engage in something really meaningful

Nothing is impossible

Evolve yourself

Share your knowledge

Success will follow you.

PS. This is my attempt to write a poem in one of the famous poetry style. The style of poetry that I followed is called Acrostic Style where the first letter of each line spells a word, usually using the same words as in the title.

POWERVOCAB IS NOW INTELLIVOCAB

Due to copy write issues, PowerVocab has been renamed to IntelliVocab. In order to overcome the copy write issues the developers of the best vocabulary building iPhone application have released the 1.5 version of PowerVocab with the new name of “IntelliVocab”.

In a personal interview from east coast of USA the founder of IntelliVocab (previously PowerVocab) Irfan Mohammed confirmed that the copy write issues forced him to change the name of the coolest vocabulary building app from PowerVocab to IntelliVocab. He also mentioned that the new release i.e. version 1.5 will also ensure IntelliVocab to differentiate from PowerVocab on Android. Meanwhile, he also shared the good news that Faqden Labs is very close to porting IntelliVocab (previously PowerVocab) to Android in few weeks. Hence, the company is keenly looking forward to taking over the Android market place as well.

I think this is simply a super news. Now the coolest vocabulary building IPhone application will soon be running on Android….Wow!! Also, I feel the new name is a little geeky but no complaints :0). So, all my friends who are working day and night to improve their English vocabulary or who are preparing for GMAT/GRE/SAT vocabulary don’t forget to download the best vocabulary building Iphone app with a new name called “IntelliVocab” on the Apple itune store.

GET FIT TO LEAD

“MENS SANA IN CORPORE SANO”, which is a Latin quote, means “a sound mind in a sound body”. I’m sure you would have heard similar quotes many a time, but have you ever thought about its connection with the “Leadership”, surprised? Don’t be, because leadership starts from within.  Yes, the golden rule of leadership begins with first leading thyself to a perfect state, and you cannot do great at work until you feel great about yourself.

Regretting everyday about your bulging belly, bad eating habits, and undisciplined lifestyle is only going to make you feel miserable about yourself. Good fitness habits will make you look better, feel stronger and fill you with plenty of energy. It is a fact that you cannot make someone feel good until you feel good about yourself, a trait very essential in a good leader. You can’t be a source of positive energy if you have no energy.

A good workout will not only improve your health, but also help you think more clearly, boost creativity and manage relentless stress that seems to dominate each day of your professional life. Here is a quote, which makes perfect sense- “Exercise is an insurance policy that we have taken out on our health, and each day we workout, we are paying the premium”- as I read somewhere.

Care for yourself, and you will be able to give more to others. With your good health you guarantee to be an effective leader filled with positive thoughts enjoyable to be around. It is very important for you to first achieve your fitness, in order to achieve your career goals. And if you think- there is no time to work out, no time to plan healthy meals then you better get rid of those excuses.

So, buckle up and don’t shy away from adding an additional goal of being Fit and Healthy next quarter. Put on your running shoes and live a life lot better and more productive.

Go Ahead and Get Fit To Lead !!

AWAAZ DO- HELP EDUCATE A CHILD IN INDIA

AWAAZ DO

On a lazy Sunday afternoon, when I looked back on my life and asked a simple question to thy self- what is the most precious thing that I’ve? Without any hesitation, my inner voice echoed with the most important word of my life- “Education”. Yes, no doubt whatsoever “Education” is the most important and reliable thing of my life. Today in the world of materialistic emotions I feel, I just can’t even rely on money because it will also come to an end one day, but I know I’m well educated to make money and it’s my education, which has made me self dependent. Deep inside I know if I walk with such a confidence in this human jungle today, it’s because I’m well educated to handle every situation and I’m equally equipped to survive here. I’m sure that I just can’t be simply lost in this crowded world because I’m well educated to tackle everything with ease.

I saw a young poor child yesterday, and he looked to be around 5-6 years old. I saw his father, a beggar, besides him and suddenly, a question alarmed in my mind because he is born in a poor family his father cannot afford his education and as a result his whole future has jeopardized. This young child, who could have lived a brighter future, is suffering because he is not educated and the end result is- like his father, he is also begging on the roads of India. One deprived generation has given birth to another, and that’s not the end, there will be many to follow. I simply don’t want to just give them some money and leave them to live such an abysmal life. I just thought to myself, what if I could help this child get educated? Of course, there is no certainty that he will be a millionaire, but what I know is at least he won’t be begging on the streets for sure.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime ~~ Chinese Proverb

UNICEF has started a movement AWAAZ DO that provides a platform to ensure that no child in this country is denied the basic right to education. I have joined this movement and I urge you to pledge your support to this cause. It’s now your opportunity to make a difference.

WHAT GOVERNMENT HAS DONE FOR THIS CAUSE?

For all the children between the age of 6 and 14 years have the right to free and quality education under the passed Right To Education (RTE) Act.

1. The RTE Act specifies minimum norms in government schools. It requires all private schools to reserve 25% of seats for children from poor families (to be reimbursed by the state as part of the public-private partnership).

2. The RTE Act also provides that no child shall be held back, expelled, or required to pass a board examination until the completion of elementary education. There is also a provision for special training of school drop-outs to bring them up to par with students of the same age.

3. The RTE Act is the first legislation in the world that puts the responsibility of ensuring enrolment, attendance and completion on the Government.
4. The Right to Education of persons with disabilities until 18 years of age has also been made a fundamental right. A number of other provisions regarding improvement of school infrastructure, teacher-student ratio and faculty are made in the Act.
The time is NOW! Make A Difference.

Stand up and make some noise! Join the Awaaz Do movement by signing up now for India's children.
Come forward and donate to UNICEF to help change 8 million lives.
Spread the word to your family and friends. You can SMS, e-mail or just talk to them and ask them to speak up and raise their voice for children. One voice makes a difference but together we can help change the fate of 8 million children. The time to begin is NOW!!
