Hello Everyone, I’m the 100th post on this blog :-), finally it’s a century!!
It’s been a magnificent journey. My family (the blog) was started in November 2007 and till the end of year 2008, it was kind of a new rare breed( with only few posts on it), but fortunately enough after that my creator (the author- me:) became regular and as a result today I’m here, the 100th post!!!
What has been so amazing is the fact that there have been nearly 16500+ people all across the world that landed here to meet (read) my ancestors (the previous 99 posts on the blog) since the time my family (the blog) was started. The camaraderie between my ancestors and the people, who came to meet them, has flourished leaps and bounds as a result my family’s historical heritage consists of hundreds of comments and views from so many different people all around the globe. Few of them, in fact became the part of my family and today there are 23 wonderful people (the followers of this blog) who are part of it. My family would not have reached to what we are today, each generation after the other (the posts on the blog) was the result of your (the readers) constant support and encouragement, I thank you all for it.
Today on my birthday (the day 100th post is written i.e. today), I dream of seeing my many more generations (more posts) to come and I’m sure you (the readers) all will be there to make my dream come true. Ok, now let’s change the topic, I’m getting really emotional. Let us have a real bash now, look what I have got- a birthday cake. It’s celebration time and please don’t forget to have my birthday cake.
You feel blessed; you feel this is what meant for you.
You sit-back, and think about the past.
You feel as if everything was designed as such.
You think of it, and you say it in joy-
It’s Destiny !!!
P.S. If you are not getting success, it doesn’t always mean you didn’t do well. You don’t need to lose the hope; you have to still keep trying. Keep trying until you reach where you want to be. You don’t know when it will be your day, but when the day will come you will realize that it’s the best what can happen to you. You will be thankful to all your past failures and you will be glad that you didn’t make it otherwise you might not have ever got to what you have received now. There is a best well suited thing for you somewhere and it will come to you some how, so just keep trying, rest the destiny will take care
Rhonda Byrne has successfully convinced me with her-"The Secret", and after experimenting with the 'Law of Attraction' for so many times I admit, I'm a strong believer of it. Initially I struggled to attract good things in my life and had different perceptions but trust me, it really works. You just think of a thing, and directly or indirectly it comes to you. As Rhonda said- 'Universe is like a waiter in a restaurant and its job is to take order of whatever you want to have'; So, I thought why not start putting my wishes here, after all I want those things to happen to me, and I seriously want to place my order :).
So now let me come to the real thing- ‘the wish’. One of my secret desires is to travel Europe and among all the places Venice in Italy is top there in my wish list. Somehow whatever and whenever I have read or seen about the Venice, I have strongly felt that it’s a must visit place for me. I'm a romantic person, and seeing at this 'City of Canals' somehow the romance in me unfolds to a new level. I imagine myself to be sailing across the Venice along side my lady love on a boat…..yes, fantasies :), but this is also true that these fantasies become the drive for wanting those things and achieving them, so why not fantasize!!
The New York Times has described Venice as "undoubtedly the most beautiful city built by man". Venice has also been described by the Times Online as being one of Europe's most romantic cities, and I don’t question on any of the claims. The amazing thing about Venice is that the city stretches across 117 small islands, and not so surprisingly, the main intra-city transportation is via water only. Venice is one of the most important tourist destinations in the world, due to the city being one of the world's greatest and most beautiful cities of art. The city has an average of 50,000 tourists a day (2007 estimate). In 2006, it was the world's 28th most internationally visited city. These facts and figures are enough for me to wish for my visit to Venice. I simply love this city, and every time there is something shown about the Venice on television, I hardly move out of sight of it. So, I wish I visit Venice soon :)
I’m writing this post especially for the blogadda’s ‘Travel Photos’ contest. As part of the contest, I’m going to post five of my favorite and best photographs during my all travels. This contest is really a treat for somebody like me, who very recently got stung by the camera’s aperture and shutter speed. So, here we go!!…..Too much excitement, isn’t it? But I kind of love starting the new things by saying ‘here we go’ as it brings my energy-levels to the same as Vin Diesel’s just before the start of the race in the movie “The Fast and The Furious”…O COM ‘on I’m just kidding :) .
Just about a month ago, when it was getting really hectic and boring, my wife and I decided to take a break, and eloped to celebrate our very first wedding anniversary in GOA, and by god, it was the most amazing time of our lives. Goa blended with its splendid heritage, delicious sea food, and refreshing beaches intoxicated both of us in a state of amnesia about the forgotten busy city life back home. Sitting on the Goan beaches, right under the wooden shacks within the constant vigilance of the shack owners to provide us the best hospitality, we braced the wind coming from the sea that reincarnated the old sweet pleasure back into our lives. So, I’m sure that by now you might have guessed it correctly that all my pictures are coming from our trip to GOA.
My first picture is called-“The Tranquil”. This picture is taken just before the evening at the Arossim Beach in South Goa. The Arossim Beach is no doubt Goa’s most clean and less crowded beach, and as you walk through the sea shore you would only hear the sound of sea waves coming across you minus all other voices on the beach. Just by looking at the sea you will fell for the voodoo of the sea waves, tranquility will fill your heart and soul with the utmost soothing and calming moment of your life. This picture just brings back the same tranquility that I witnessed so I named it as “The Tranquil”.
The second picture is called-“The Childhood”. As soon as you start walking on the beaches, the sand brings out your playful nature. You start playing the games with the sand, you write something on the sand, you print your marks on the sand or you make something from the sand. Unknowingly, you are pushed into a child’s play, you enjoy it to the core and you have fun with it. This picture shows the sand-homes that brought our childhood back I hope you feel the same after seeing it.
The third picture is of the Fort Aguada Light House, and it is called-“The Memorial”. The Fort Aguada is a well preserved 17th century Portuguese fort on Sinquerim beach overlooking the vast Arabian sea. The 4-storey Portuguese lighthouse was erected in 1864 and it’s the oldest of its kind in Asia. Sometimes I feel really amazed with the fact that how everyone of us want to click their photograph with the historical monuments and the great memorials, and unknowingly it’s been added to the memorials of our own lives in the form of picture-albums. The picture also depicts the tourist clicking their photographs with the Light House in behind, clicking the old memorial and creating a new one.
The forth picture is called-“The Escapade”. People really enjoy the adventure sports available on the Goan beaches, and one of them is “Paragliding”. People love the adventure of flying in the air on their parachutes. The feeling of flying above the deep blue sea is amazing. So, in this picture I caught a real adventurer flying over the deep blue sea and enjoying the ride.
The last and final picture is called-“The Romance”. They say it- “Listen to the free feeling of love every sunset”, and as we walked on the beach together holding our hands, watching the sunset, we fell in love all over again. The sea, the sunset and us, together made a lovely moment of life. I hope you feel like walking on the beach during the sunset holding your partner on watching this picture.
