SECRET BEHIND MY BLOG'S BLACK THEME

Many of you have liked the "Black Theme" and the "Black Background" of my blog, but few of you have also suggested me to change it to any bright colored background. Well, finally I have decided  to share the secret behind my 'Black' ideology. On the other note, I m glad that all my readers take so much interest in my blog that not only they have shared their views about the content on my blog but also they have given their feedbacks about the whole look and feel of the web page, and I must confess, the response and the involvement has taken me by surprise but of course, this is incredible and I'm loving it :). Thank You All- for pouring your ideas and your unique views on my very own small web-space.

Now coming to the revelation of my black ideology, I'm a person who likes black color, though I'm not really sure when my La Affair flourished with it but I have always liked whatever black stuff I owned, such as my black point pen, my black t-shirt, my shoes, my black tie, my black blazer and etc etc. So, it was quite obvious that my web-page would look no different than my black t-shirt :).

The second most important reason why I fell for the black background was the comfort of reading, which I enjoyed with the white text on the black background. Moreover, I have my very own philosophy, which also gives me a strong reason to persist with the black background with white texts. The philosophy is-  "In the dark world I want to spread the light using my bright white colored words". I'm a passionate writer, and I believe when I write my intent is very pure. The color white is a symbol of peace and purity, deriving the same are my words in my texts. The white text color represents my pure intent and the peace I pursue by following my passion for writing.

The third reason is a technically driven outcome, which I realize is very useful. A technical study has shown that an all white web page uses about 74 watts to display, while an all black page uses only 59 watts. Of course, the study results are more effective on CRT monitors than on TFT or LCD monitors, but taking into account that 35% of the market share is still with the normal CRT monitors it is still an important factor to be considered. So, I have done my best by using the black background in an effort to save whatever little power I could save.

So, those were the reasons why I have an all black theme on my blog. Hopefully, it might have made some sense but if you still have some suggestions regarding it then you are most welcome.

Nice thoughts...

But, there are issues... if you need to use text with other colors, it will always be a problem... the headings on the right, they are gray and small and difficult to read...

My suggestion... if using black theme, keep font a little bigger than usual and little brighter colors...

Wow, you don't leave things in the halfway. After such a thorough explanation, don't change your colour.

But why is the boy hitting the horse?

Thanks Mr.A, long time you paid me the visit. I feel blessed now :).

Oh you caught me with the pic :). Well the boy hitting the horse is like critics of my blogs black theme. The boy is synonymous to the critics and the black horse is synonymous to the black theme of my blog.

What if the black you like is not entirely different from the blank mind as in the newest post (which i originally misread as "thinking black"). The boy punching the horse is trying to hold negative thoughts at bay? Hmm, this would match with your many previous motivational postings.

On the other hand, why would we, in the light of your most recent postings, interpret black as "negative"? The black horse is a powerful symbol, representing the Unknown in some cultures and the forces of desire and nature in many.

However, horse is not a bear or a tiger. It is a domestic animal. The boy is supposed to finally tame it and ride it, in which case his own position will be greatly empowered in terms of force, speed and mobility. Therefore I would interpret the boy as you, and the horse as the unknown forces in your mind that you need to put in control.

Various tactics have been employed with horses (also the black ones), but a punch - rarely so. We will see if it worked.

Hmm, well I must say that not only your interpretation makes a lot of sense to me but also your words inspires me a lot. I think you have shown me a new way to interpret the picture. I m glad to find a person with so much positive energy and thoughts. Thanks for sharing!!

When a text walks out into open from the author's pen or laptop, it starts having a life of its own. It can even be analyzed in contradiction to the interpretation offered by the author himself.

Yes, I agree. After all, everyone has its own perspective and way of looking to it. Above all, with the blend of understanding may complete differ in interpretation to what the author might have offered.

@Amit, hmmm ok..I can consider that plea, but I'm obsessed with this template...and even more too the black color. You know there are two types of people one who like the blacks and others who want the whites..we are both of them :)..so please bear me :))
